That tingly post-yoga sensation is indescribable, but anybody who’s experienced a true yoga session has experienced this feeling.
It comes when you’re lying in that final pose, eyes closed, body relaxed, the palms of your hands open to the sky – at the culmination of all your down-dogs and up-dogs and every rigorous stretch in between. As you lie there, your body pulsates with aliveness and strength unlike any you’ve felt before. At first, you dissolve into the floor, surrounded by total quiet and total calm. Then, just before you peel yourself up, you get this feeling, like you can take on anything. I imagine it to be what superheroes feel just before they take on the world.
It’s one of my favourite parts of my yoga practice.
